Greetings Everyone,

Libraries, like other not-for-profits, generate records that are a product of their operations.  Sooner or later, these records must be organized in the most cost-effective, and efficient way possible.

ARMA Halifax Chapter is holding its first program of the fall season on  Tuesday, October 4, 2005 from 4:00-5:15 pm.  The theme of the meeting is "Meet, Greet, and See [A] Demonstration of Mobile Shelving in Action".  The session begins with a social that is followed at 4:45 pm by a "Case Study on Purchasing and Installing Mobile Shelving" by Kathleen Bugbee.   The session concludes with Jim Sweeney of Maritime Filing Solutions, vendor for the mobile shelving, providing an actual viewing and demonstration of mobile shelving.  The session is being held at NS Department of Energy, 4th floor, 5151 George Street, Halifax, NS.

This session is of interest to anyone charged with the responsibility of managing paper records, who works within easy driving distance of Halifax, NS.
