ARCHIVIST
Mount Allison University Libraries and Archives are looking for a creative and innovative professional to become a member of their archival team. We invite applications for a two-year term appointment, with possible extension.
Reporting to the University Archivist, the incumbent will be responsible for the arrangement and description of archival records in all formats acquired by the Mount Allison University Archives, the preparation and maintenance of finding aids, and the development of databases for the management of Archives operational records and access to, discovery of, and dissemination and promotion of archival holdings. The incumbent will participate in project teams and will be called upon to assist with the development of digital content and initiatives in support of the Libraries and Archives' broader mandates. Duties will include interaction with donors, the provision of public services, and other duties related to the ongoing operations of the Mount Allison University Libraries and Archives.
Applicants should possess a postgraduate degree in library and archival studies, with a specialization in archives, or an equivalent combination of related degree(s) and archives experience.
