With increasing demands from clients and the plethora of new technologies and content sources rapidly hitting the market, it's difficult to know what services to provide! How do we identify those technologies that will have the greatest impact on our services? At the close of this one day workshop, participants will have:
€ Gained insights from leading edge librarians through case studies
€ Obtained a process and ideas for re-designing information services, ensuring their services are based on current and emerging client needs
€ Practiced applying these methodologies supplied by the instructors by developing a Service Strategies Roadmap
€ Identified technologies to be investigated for use in these re-created services for the millennium
€ Discussed new technologies available and on the horizon
€ Created a plan for immediate next steps using learnings from the course
The instructors challenge participants to view their services and technology use in terms of meeting clients' current and emerging needs. The interactive team teaching technique allows you to share both the experiences of the instructors and your fellow participants.
