*Teleconference leader*

Bernard Vavrek is Professor of Library Science and Director of the Center
for the Study of Rural Librarianship at Clarion University of Pennsylvania.
He is also chairman elect of the Department of Library Science.  His MLS and
PhD are from the University of Pittsburgh, where he taught prior to moving
to Clarion.



Bernard's teaching responsibilities include:  rural library services, public
access computing, marketing, research, and reference resources.  He has
written over 50 articles for the library press and conducted numerous
national research projects dealing with rural library services and the
impact of the public library.
