Please excuse cross-posting of this message. **************************************************************** Join us at the Nova Scotia Provincial Library on March 18th for a live broadcast of the College of Dupage satellite teleconference "Library as Place: Where People Want to Be". Discover what public and academic libraries are doing to transform their images from buildings with books into centres for their communities and campuses - to be the place where people want to be. Panelists will be William Miller, Director of Libraries at Florida Atlantic University, Douglas Zyskowski, Director of the Southfield (Michigan) Public Library, and Ed Rivenburgh, Director of Libraries at SUNY Geneseo. After the broadcast portion of the program, we are pleased to have Sarah Wenning, Branch Manager of the Keshen Goodman Public Library, talk about the branch's role in the community. The Keshen Goodman Public Library, part of the Halifax Public Libraries system, won the Lieutenant Governor's Design Award in architecture in 2002 with it's airy and community friendly design.
