 This course is designed for those who have recently moved into a
managerial position or will be during the next 3-6 months, who want a
few key strategies for starting off and staying on the right track. All
new managers should invest the time in full-day intensive learning
events, but these sessions offer an easy way to cover the basics until
time allows for out-of-the-office training.


 Knowing how busy new managers are, the benefit of this course is that
participants can participate from their desks for 1 hour during the 1st
week and the 3rd week, and, during the 2nd week can work at their own
pace with e-mail and/or phone guidance.

Instructor Biographies

 Rebecca Jones is co-founder and principal of Dysart & Jones, a leading
consulting firm specializing in knowledge management and strategic
planning. At Dysart & Jones, Rebecca's focus has been on facilitating
clients' planning processes, problem solving and coaching senior
management. Before moving into consulting she worked for Imperial Oil
for eight years as Manager, Information Resources, and subsequently as
Leader, Computing Skills Training.

 Ruth Snowden, principal with J. Chevreau Enterprises, has delivered
hundreds of employee training courses and filled several management and
executive positions in global logistics, most recently as Vice
President, Quality & Strategic Planning with a large US based logistics
service provider. She is committed to "Leading individuals and
organizations to successful change" through facilitated work related
