The CLA/OCLC Canada Award for Resource Sharing Achievement The CLA/OCLC
Canada Award for Resource Sharing Achievement is an annual award
consisting of $1,000 and a plaque recognizing and honoring an
individual, an organization or a project team for outstanding
professional achievement, leadership and contributions to library
resource sharing in Canada. The achievement may be reflected in the form
of publication of significant professional literature; initiatives and
active roles in promoting and participating in library resource sharing
activities; and/or innovative approaches or programs to technically or
financially facilitate the practice of resource sharing at the
institutional, regional, provincial or national level. The award will be
presented during the annual Canadian Library Association Conference.

The CLA Resource Sharing Interest Group
<http://www.cla.ca/about/igroups/resource.htm> appoints the jury for the
award.

Candidates nominated for this award must be employed in a Canadian
institution and have demonstrated achievement in at least one of the
following areas:

1. Planning and implementation of an innovative service or program to
facilitate resource sharing that is recognized as a model regionally or
nationally;

2. Publication of notable literature or significant presentations at
conferences to promote communication and understanding about resource
sharing in a Canadian context;

3. A record of sustained, recognized, and exceptional participation in
regional, national or international associations, committees or task
groups devoted to library resource sharing.

*Nomination Procedure *

The nomination must include the following:

    * Name of nominee
    * Current position and employer
    * Description of accomplishments, highlighting their contributions
      according to the areas of interest identified above.
    * Signatures of two nominators, along with their names,
      organization, phone number, and email address.

A current curriculum vitae for the nominee should be attached to the
nomination.

Deadline for receipt of nominations is: *February 28 annually*.
