technical problems this audio conference has been rescheduled to a new
time and there are still spaces left to attend.

The Internet has revolutionized family history, but what resources are
available for finding information about your ancestors online? The Nova
Scotia Provincial Library will host an audio conference on "Getting
Started in Internet Genealogy: An Introduction to Finding and Using Web
Resources". The instructor is Marian Press, a librarian at the
Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. She also maintains the web
sites for the Toronto Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society and the
Ontario Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists.

In this sixty minute presentation Marion will cover the highlights of
online sources for finding genealogical information, introducing you to
the range of material available. If you are interested in learning more
about what is involved in doing genealogical research on the Internet,
this teleconference is for you. If you assist library customers with
doing genealogical searching, you will receive a general introduction to
the myriad of resources for helping them on their way. After taking
part in this discussion on family history resources online, you will
have a better understanding of what does and does not exist on the
Internet. You will be equipped with strategies for how to begin to
assist genealogists as they move beyond the classic paper resources to
electronic ones.
