Please Post -- The University of New Brunswick invites applications for a term position of Reference Librarian in the Ward Chipman Library (Saint John campus). Two continuing appointment (tenure track) positions in Access and Research Services will be available in September 2005. Responsibilities: It is anticipated that the successful candidate will assume a variety of assignments related to the provision of comprehensive reference service. This includes: sharing responsibility for staffing the Reference/Information desk and participating with other librarians in providing library orientation and library instruction. Qualifications: a Masters degree in library or information science from an ALA accredited institution; ability to work effectively with diverse user groups; excellent interpersonal, analytical and communication skills; knowledge of electronic resources. This is a term appointment from January 3, 2005 - June 30, 2005. Appointment will be made at the Librarian I level with a salary range of $39,979 - $48,748. The Ward Chipman Library with 5 professional positions and 13 support staff is part of Information Services and Systems, which also includes Instructional Technology and Integrated Technology Services.
