Integrated Library System Implementation Project Manager

The Novanet consortium of libraries is seeking a Project Manager to provide overall guidance and to lead implementation teams for the installation of an integrated library system.

General Position Description

We are looking for an experienced project manager to manage the implementation of a new integrated library information system including client site readiness, application installation and configuration, data migration, testing, go-live, and support transition, as well as training and documentation. The project manager will be responsible for leading the roll out of an existing library management system application to multiple sites across Nova Scotia.

The Implementation Project Manager will ideally be familiar with library standards and have technical experience with automated library systems.  Experience working with the MARC record is desirable.  Thorough familiarity with web applications and proficiency in Oracle, SML and SQL is also considered an asset. 

The position is for a two year term and reports to the Chair of the Novanet Integrated Library System Committee.
