There is an interesting review of David Marquandıs new book, 'Decline of the
Public' in TLS this week, stating that the public domain is disappearing and
that no political magician can bring it back.

Although the reviewer (Robert Skidelsky) doesn't mention librarians per se,
(ie; are librarians members of the public domain or the public interest -
