Hi to everyone again,

Further to my recent message and reference concerning a methodology to
capture and define the 'value of one's library/service to the 'community,'
below is a recent reference that was shared with me that might be of

Have a nice weekend,
Dear Fellow Librarian-
I am right in the middle of looking at ways to refocus our
performance measures (you know, the stats.) to capture some
of the value/value added our library contributes.
The Southern Ontario Library Service here has written a very helpful
document ("The Library's contribution to your community"), and I have also
found a 2003 Library Trends article ("Measuring outcomes: applying
cost-benefit analysis to middle-sized and smaller public libraries," v. 51,
no. 3, Winter 2003) very informative. The SOLS document can be ordered via
their website
    Good luck!
