Human Resource and Succession Planning (OLA audioconference)
with Laura Knapp, LexisNexis Canada Inc.

SESSION DETAILS: What do new generation librarians and library staff
who are entering the workforce need to keep themselves energized about
their careers in the library world? Those entering the field in their
late 20's and early 30's bring much different expectations than
generations. Discussion will focus on how libraries structure
and adopt work policies and activities that will appeal to this group
and ensure their success.

Participants will benefit in attending this session by being able to
clearly understand the unique characteristics, career goals and
approaches to work by members of Generation X. Come away with an
understanding of how to supervise, hire and work with this generation.
