On March 23, 1752, the first issue of the Halifax Gazette was printed by
John Bushell at his printshop on Grafton Street in the new town of
Halifax. This event marked the beginning of printing in Canada, and
launched the spread of print culture, a force that shaped colonial society
and subsequently the nation.

Plan now to attend the following events which will celebrate this
significant episode in Canadian history:
