- Centers for Disease Control and Prevention contains a considerable amount of public health related information including Health Information, infectious diseases brochures and leaflets, Fact sheets, Travellers Health information, ABCs of Safe and Healthy Child Care, Publications & Products and the Morbidity & Mortality Weekly Report (in acrobat & html format) and is now searchable. The CDC web site can be searched. CDC Wonder "provides a single point of access to a variety of CDC reports, guidelines, and numeric public health data".

- The National Library of Medicine has online databases (eg. Medline) although most require payment in advance. There are some free databases available.
