Dear Arleen I haven't got the exact reference to hand but I did read a journal article in 'Anaesthesia and Intensive Care' which surveyed female anaesthetists (Anaesthesiologists) about their experiences of sexism. It was published either in 1998 or 1999 from memory. Sorry I can't be more specific but let me know if you are having trouble finding it and I will look for the reference here.
