Library Assistant
With the Legislative Library of the Legislative Assembly in Fredericton,
under the supervision of a librarian, the successful applicant's
responsibilities will include: pre-cataloguing in MARC format, reference
work including online searching, indexing of newspapers, preservation work
and other duties as required
Qualifications: The successful candidate must possess a university degree
supplemented by the completion of a library assistant program. Experience
with MARC cataloguing, Library of Congress subject headings and computer
programs, as well as good verbal and communication skills, are required. In
addition, at least four years of library experience or an acceptable
equivalent is desired. Written and spoken competence in English is
essential. Subject to the response of the competition, education and
experience requirements may be raised.
SALARY: $25,376 to $35,334.
