Assistant Professor in Health Ethics - Tenure Track Position
The Faculty of Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University is seeking an
exceptional health ethics scholar with expertise and experience in
population and public health ethics. The successful applicant will be
expected to maintain a productive interdisciplinary research program and
contribute to undergraduate and graduate education. The successful
candidate will be expected to actively contribute to collaborative and
multi-disciplinary research activities. He/she will demonstrate the
capacity to attract research grants and publish their research in
peer-reviewed journals in their respective subject areas.
This position has a course load of three courses per year. The Faculty
of Health Sciences offers exciting opportunities to participate in
developing and delivering curriculum in our undergraduate (BA and BSc),
and graduate programs (Master of Public Health (MPH), M.Sc. and PhD).
Candidates should have demonstrated experience and a strong commitment
to graduate and undergraduate curriculum development related to health
ethics. At the undergraduate level, he/she should expect to teach
courses in Applied Health Ethics and Global Health Ethics. He/she should
also be able to teach graduate-level courses in these areas as well as
propose new courses. Supervision of undergraduate honours degree
students, MPH, MSc and/or PhD students will also be expected.
