Good Morning,
Some of you may know Sharon Murphy, currently
a librarian at Queens University. Her request
to interview librarian researchers has been
posted on OCULA, CLA, and CAPAL - so this may
be the second time you are seeing it.
The Atlantic region is currently under-represented,
and she is hoping some members of the APLA community
will volunteer to participate (see description below).
Thanks,
Gwendolyn MacNairn

Impact of Research on Practice for Canadian Academic Librarians
Call for Interview Participation
Dear Colleagues,
I am a librarian at Queen's University studying the impact of
conducting research on our professional practice. I am inviting
Canadian colleagues from university and college libraries and who have
completed a sabbatical/academic leave in the past 5 years (i.e.
2008-2013) to participate in an interview with me about your experience.
This study will investigate what effect(s) the act of conducting
research has on our professional practice. What do we gain
individually and collectively by being research-practitioners?
Interviews will take place over the next 2-3 months by phone/skype,
will be recorded and should last 30-60 minutes. Please indicate your
willingness and consent to participate by contacting:
Sharon Murphy <[log in to unmask]> and I will send a full letter of
information to you.
Thank you.
Sharon Murphy
