Reporting to the Manager of Client Services, the Librarian 2 acts as a
member of the Client Services Team at the Nova Scotia Provincial Library
(NSPL), which works with regional library boards, agencies within
Communities, Culture and Heritage (CCH), and other governmental
departments to develop and deliver appropriate and relevant services to
This position identifies and develops strategic partnerships, special
projects and service models regarding local community engagement, works
collaboratively with community partners, libraries, museums and archives
to identify service needs of targeted communities; as a member of the
Archives, Museums and Libraries team aligns services with CCH and other
government services, identifies grant opportunities that support
community-led approaches and acts as a consultant to libraries and CCH
on identified areas of responsibility.

years professional library experience.

trends and developments in public library service delivery.
Ability to travel within the province.
Fluency in French is an asset.
Offer of employment is conditional upon the completion of all

Pay Grade: PR 12
Salary Range: $51,913 - $62,989

This is a bargaining unit position initially restricted to current
civil service employees represented by the Nova Scotia Government
