NSLA/LBANS 2012 ? Call for Proposals
Engaging Communities, Energizing Readers
Conference 2012 will celebrate the role libraries play in supporting
and enhancing community life. The theme of ?Engaging Communities,
Energizing Readers? will allow us to explore how libraries connect and
communicate with our many diverse and creative users. Workshop
sessions could examine how libraries promote, develop and preserve
Nova Scotia?s culture, heritage, identity, and languages. Or
investigate the ways libraries support the health of our users or the
economic development of the communities we serve. Partnerships and
interconnection between other social, governmental and cultural
agencies could also be a focus for consideration. Creativity and
insight into the way libraries involve the communities they serve and
galvanize the readers they assist is welcome.
The Program Committee for the 2012 NSLA/LBANS Conference invites you
to submit a session proposal for the 2012 conference to be held at the
Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre from September 7-9, 2012 in Port
Hawkesbury.
Presentations should be an hour in length and include time for
questions. Sessions that are practical and interactive in nature are
preferred.
