Lehigh University is seeking to appoint a full or associate professor to
the newly established endowed Presidential Chair in Health in the social
sciences or humanities. The holder of the Presidential Chair will be a
dynamic scholar and teacher committed to advancing research in his or
her field while acting as a catalyst to expand Lehigh’s new,
university-wide Health Initiative.
Candidates for the Presidential Chair must have a distinguished record
in health-related research in the social sciences or humanities and
demonstrated excellence in teaching. Candidates are expected to develop
research collaborations with Lehigh faculty and strengthen ongoing
relationships with the local medical/health care community. Lehigh
University offers a uniquely hospitable environment for
cross-disciplinary work in a wide range of fields; the Presidential
Chair holder will be an energetic individual who would thrive in such an
environment. Lehigh University is especially interested in candidates
who can contribute to the diversity of the academic community.
