The NSCC student chapter of the Canadian Library Association invites you to
attend a public lecture by APLA President Donald Moses on Friday, March 22
at the Waterfront Campus in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.  A brief summary of his
presentation's topic can be found below:


Title: Are Associations Relevant in a Wired World?

Abstract: The Internet and the development of new social networking
tools has provided both opportunities and challenges for associations.
This session will explore the Atlantic Provinces Library Association's
past, the benefits it offers to current members, how it uses new tools
to meet the needs of its membership, and a discussion about how APLA can
ensure its continued relevance to current and future members.


This event will take place in Room 3524 just after 3:00 p.m.  The campus is
located at 80 Mawiomi Place, Dartmouth, NS.  Please RSVP to email address

This is the third in a series of public lectures being organized by the
college's CLA student chapter to bring students in the Library Information
