Hi Andrea,
I teach courses on narratives & medicine for med & nursing students (as
well as humanities and science undergrads), as well as on disability and
medicine, using narratives as well as medical literature.  What sort of
students are you teaching?  Can you tell us more about the goals of the
course?  Also, the NYU medical humanities website is a great resource for
syllabi.
