Wednesday Night:
Past President’s Reception - Come join fellow conference delegates
at
the Past President’s reception honouring all past presidents of the
Association. This event provides an excellent chance to mingle and
chat
with old colleagues and meet new ones before the conference officially
begins. Registration: No charge for this event and no registration
required
Halifax Literary Walking Tour - Join Halifax Public Libraries' Local
History and Genealogy Librarian, Joanne McCarthy, who will be leading
APLA delegates on a literary walking tour around downtown Halifax.
Explore famous authors, learn about local newspaper and publishing
history stretching back to the eighteenth century, and discover
libraries and bookstores both past and present. Registration: No
charge

Thursday Night:
Mar Cocktail Cruise - Join us for an adventure on the high seas! Come
aboard the Mar, a 75 ft tall ship and enjoy the breathtaking views of
the harbor during this evening cocktail cruise. Registration: Phone

Art Gallery of Nova Scotia Tour and McKelvie’s Restaurant -Start
Thursday evening off with a group tour of the AGNS hailed as the
gateway
to the arts for Atlantic Canada. After the tour the group will be
heading to McKelvie’s restaurant for drinks and some “Delishes
Fishes”. Registration: No charge for the AGNS tour, though delegates
are encouraged to make a donation to the AGNS; no advance charge for

Friday Night:
APLA Merit Award Banquet and Dance - Join your colleagues for a
pre-dinner cocktail and then settle in for a sumptuous dining
experience, complete with a spectacular harbour front view. The
banquet
will honour an individual who has made a substantial contribution to
the
library community in the Atlantic Provinces. The dance will feature
music by the renowned J.P. Ellis Trio.

Saturday Morning:
Saturday Morning Brunch - The Saturday morning brunch will be held at
O’Carroll’s Restaurant and Irish Pub in downtown Halifax. Relax in
