Librarian I/Manager Term Position  - 
Windsor branch of the Annapolis Valley Regional Library


The Annapolis Valley Regional Library is hiring for a term Librarian
I/Manager position (Librarian I) at the Windsor Regional Library branch
location.   

This is a term, 35 hour a week position.   Includes evening and weekend
work.   
Salary - $36,412 (Librarian I)
Training would likely take place in June or early July.   Approximate start
time: early August 2009, for a possible 12 month term.  Exact start and end
dates to be determined, due to maternity/parental leave. 

Employee would be responsible for the management (under regional policies)
of all public services, staff, and staffing schedules within the branch;
would be required to  liaise with Friends group and municipal officials.
Employee would be on active circulation desk duty for a substantial number
of those hours. 

Education:
Master's degree in librarianship from CLA/ALA accredited university.
Experience:
1-2 years experience in the library field, including supervisory duties and
direct service to the public.
