Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador Law Librarian Permanent
Half-Time
The Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador Law Library provides legal
reference and research assistance throughout the province to members of
the Law Society, the judiciary, and the public. The Law Society is
seeking applications for a permanent half-time Law Librarian.
Responsibilities
* Provides and assists members of the Law Society with legal
research.
* Provides personal and group training to members of the Law
Society on the use of legal electronic resources.
* Catalogues all materials using Inmagic web publisher.
* Participates in collection development, preparing and
implementing Law Library budget and the preparation of annual reports,
grant applications and policy development.
Qualifications
A Master's degree in Library and Information Studies from an ALA
accredited library school. The successful candidate will be an
energetic, service oriented person, who is comfortable working in a
reference environment. Knowledge of Inmagic web publisher and experience
working in a law or special library would be an asset. Salary is
commensurate with experience.
