Netspeed 2009: Call for Proposals
It's that time of year again! The Alberta Library (TAL) invites proposals
for conference sessions at Netspeed 2009, to be held October 21-23, 2009,
in Calgary, AB.
Netspeed is a conference for librarians and technical staff from all
library sectors. The conference serves to highlight new technologies of
interest to libraries. Sessions cover a variety of topics including
emerging tech trends, newly implemented technology, and the impact these
have on the library and the community.
Proposals for conference and pre-conference sessions are welcome, as are
suggestions for speakers and topics. All submissions must be received by
February 13, 2009.
Session proposals should include:
* Session title.
* Brief abstract (max 250 words).
* Target audience.
* Brief summary of speaker's experience with the topic.
* Contact information for all speakers.
Netspeed provides many benefits for speakers, including complimentary
conference registration and assistance with travel costs. Please limit
proposals to 2 speakers per session.
