Cochrane Library Training Session:
All citizens of Nova Scotia now have free access to the Cochrane Library via
Nova Scotia's public libraries. The access has been paid for by the Atlantic
Health Knowledge Partnership, (a consortium of Nova Scotia libraries).
The Cochrane Library is a collection of databases that contain high-quality,
independent evidence to inform healthcare decision-making. Cochrane reviews
represent the highest level of evidence on which to base clinical treatment
decisions. More info:

Training has now been arranged for library staff new to the Cochrane Library .
The session will be held on May 30, 2008, 1-3:30 pm, in Theatre A, Tupper
Building, Dalhousie University. It will be geared toward those unfamiliar with
Cochrane who are responsible for assisting the public.
The trainer will be Margaret Sampson, Medical Librarian at the Children's
Hospital of Eastern Ontario in Ottawa.
The session will also be available remotely, via telephone and computer.

May 30 will be the last day of the Canadian Health Libraries Association annual
conference, which will be held in Halifax this year.
