Dear APLA list subscribers:
In 2000, the Minister of Natural Resources of Canada established an
arbitration tribunal to resolve the dispute relating to the line dividing the
respective offshore areas of the Provinces of Nova Scotia and Newfoundland
& Labrador. The tribunal received memorials and held oral hearings during
2001 at UNB-Fredericton's Wu Conference Centre, after which the awards
were announced.
Because of UNBīs significant involvement in the arbitration, UNB's Law
Library has created a unique digital archive of the arbitrationīs various
documents, maps, exhibits and awards, most of which are quite rare
because of the small number of copies that were printed.
Today is our official launch of the archive, which we believe will be of
significant interest to legal, scientific, business and NGO communities
