"EFFECTIVE BOARD GOVERNANCE 2007 SERIES -
An extraordinary new series for public library trustees
with Ken Haycock
________________________
SESSION TITLE: The Board Chair and the CEO: Shared Leadership for Board Development
Most trustees realize they need training but many only receive a tour and a binder from the CEO and a hearty "welcome aboard" from the Chair.
Powerful, effective library boards are developed over time and a longer term plan for development makes good sense. What do trustees need to know? What are their roles? What are the topics? What are the priorities?
If you truly want a powerful board, you must learn how to develop powerful and knowledgeable trustees. Here is a vision of planning between the Chair of the Board and the CEO that challenges our everyday practice.
When

1 hour Audio Conference
8 PM Eastern Time (5 PM PT Pacific Time)
