Hi folks. Just a quick note to let you know that we are well aware of
the listserv spam being generated to some of our membership yesterday
and today.We are taking steps to overcome that. As you may or may not be
aware, the listserv is administered by Dalhousie University and spam
blockers in university settings are usually pretty strong. We will be
taking immediate steps to block open posting to the listserv and all
e-mail going onto the listserve will be moderated. We will also be
looking into controling subscribers to the list. I ask that you please
be patience with us over the holidays and use the delete button till we
hopefully can get the moderated list set up soon. Thank you for your
patience.We will not remove any personal members from the listerve till
January .This is the first time that I am aware of it being an issue but
as most of you know, the spammers become more clever. Please be patient
till the new year. Hopefully we can get the issue resolved very soon.
