community will gather this Thursday evening to honour Mark Leggott,
recipient of the Outstanding Alumni Award for 2007. Please join us!

As chair of the Associated Alumni Association, School of Information
Management, Dalhousie University, I am pleased to announced that Mark
Leggott has been selected by the Outstanding Alumni Award committee as
the recipient of the award for 2007.
Mark Leggott is currently the University Librarian for the University
of Prince Edward Island and was previously the University Librarian
for
the University of Winnipeg.
"Mark Leggott has consistently demonstrated visionary leadership and
innovation by initiating cooperative projects with Virtual Reference
(for example), and most notably for his work with an ILL management
product, Open ILL (http://cybrary.uwinnipeg.ca/projects/openill/).
He
is enthusiastic, committed and dedicated to the profession. He
brings
this enthusiasm to his work, to the projects he has initiated that
benefit the profession and through his leadership to the profession."
