Hello everyone.

Has anyone been involved with a renovation project that involved moving
shelves with the books still in place?

We're re-carpeting the Reference department and we're going to attempt
such a manoeuvre.  To save time and effort, we're planning to physically
move the shelves intact to another section of the floor, lay the carpet
and move the shelves back.  

If you've been through something similar, please let me know if you have
any information or advice.

In another month we'd be happy to share our findings with any interested
parties.
