REMINDER
IDEAS GALLERY - APLA 2006
MAY 25-28, 2006
FREDERICTON, NEW BRUNSWICK
Just a quick reminder that all libraries across Atlantic Canada are invited to
participate in a new activity to be held during this year’s annual APLA Conference in
Fredericton – it's called the Ideas Gallery.
The Ideas Gallery is a fun and interesting event which puts a spotlight on the wealth of
PR expertise that abounds right here in Atlantic Canada!
PR materials are being requested from all types of libraries in Atlantic Canada.
Materials will be displayed on tables for attendees to view and take home a sample or
two.
If your library creates outstanding PR materials, it may be deserving of a special “Best
in Show” award. To be eligible for an award, please submit 75 copies of your best
promotional materials produced in 2005 in any of the following categories:
Materials that promote:
• programs
• services
• events
• resources
• fundraising activities
• library advocacy
• reading clubs
• summer reading programs
• your library’s website
• Canadian Library Week
• @your library® slogan
• newsletters
• orientation materials
A team of experts will judge the entries based on design, content, originality and
effectiveness. Libraries are welcome to enter more than one category.
PR materials must be submitted by April 30, 2006.
Please send your entries along with your library’s contact information to:
