Join us at the Nova Scotia Provincial Library for another audio conference in the Education Institute's TECH TUESDAYs: TALKING WITH TECHIES series. On October 11th we will host Podcasting with Greg Schwartz in an interview with Jane Dysart, Dysart & Jones Associates. An experienced podcaster, Greg will talk about podcasting - what is it and why librarians would be interested in this new technology and media. He will discuss how podcasting can be used in libraries, provide examples and links to podcasts of interest and explore the technology tools necessary for listening to and developing podcasts. As well he will share tips for creating podcasts and lessons he has learned in the last year and a half of podcasting. He also shares some of his favorite cool podcasts.

Greg Schwartz
Greg Schwartz is the Circulation Support Supervisor for the Louisville Free Public Library, supervising many pages, running the ILL department, working on the Web site as well as a panoply of other projects. He started the Open Stacks weblog (openstacks.net/os) in 2003 and made the transition to podcasting audio content in January of this year. At one time he was the editor of the LIS Weblogs category at the Open Directory Project. His presentation with Jenny Levine, The Shifted Librarian, entitled Making the Most of the Blogosphere, was very popular at a recent Internet Librarian conference.
