Dear Sara and All:
We'll be discussing your topic to some extent, particularly with reference
to dairy products, at a conference about feminism, vegetarianism, and the
tactics of advocates: Friends of Animals' conference on 9-10 July in New
York City is outlined at www.friendsofanimals.org
(click "Foundations of a Movement").
And I have the pleasure of adding here that bioethicist Dr. Richard Twine
will be coming from Lancaster University to talk about genetic modification,
commodification of animals for food... Richard, who I believe is a
subscriber to this list, maintains and writes for the ecofeminist web ring
and E-journal: www.ecofem.org
Ecofeminist writer Brian Luke will also be speaking about feminism and
hunting.
Happy to discuss any issues that arise with the paper, whether on list or
off list.
Cheers,
Lee Hall
