****************************************************************
On May 12th the Nova Scotia Provincial Library will host an audio conference on "Networking & Influencing Action". This is part of the Strategic Conversations with Leaders Series from The Education Institute: The learning programs of the APLA-BCLA-LAA-NSLA-OLA-SLA Partnership. The speaker will be Donna Scheeder, Director, Law Library of Congress. While networking is fun, it does have a purpose: Gain influence by putting people and ideas together to get the right things done. How does a networker maximize his/her influence? Learn network-building strategies that also build trust. Couple that with knowledge on how to understand and influence the decision-making process and you are "the influential networker".
