With apologies for cross posting.
The Mount Saint Vincent University Archives is pleased to announce that the
first phase of the Nursing History Digitization Project: Nursing Education
in Nova Scotia is completed and can be found at:
www.msvu.ca/library/archives/nhdp/
The project focuses on the history of nursing education in Nova Scotia from
the 1890s, when the first formal education of nurses took place, to the
1970s. The project encompasses a general overview of the history of nursing
education in Nova Scotia, as well as focuses on the history of the Mount
Saint Vincent University School of Nursing, the Dalhousie University School
of Nursing, the Halifax Infirmary School of Nursing, and the Victoria
General Hospital School of Nursing. The development and impact of these
schools are explored through a short narrative as well as primary source
materials which include photographs, memos, correspondence, curriculum
materials, reports, poems, and brochures.
If you have any questions or comments about the project please contact the
Mount Saint Vincent University Archives at (902) 457-6401 or
