Congratulations, Eileen!
For those of us who remember working with Eileen Travis, was a pleasure to
see the announcement of Eileen's appointment to the Order of Canada in the
Globe and Mail this morning. Following is the citation from the Governor

Commitment, energy and enthusiasm characterize Eileen Travis' contributions
to her community. The first woman president of the Saint John Board of
Trade, she has shared her vision and leadership with organizations such as
Opera New Brunswick, the Saint John Arts Council and the Research and
Productivity Council of New Brunswick. As the Saint John Regional
Librarian, she was highly respected for expanding library services
throughout the area and for promoting children's literacy through various
reading and tutoring programs.
