DUTIES: Reporting to the Manager, this position is responsible for the
Adult and Children’s Circulation, Branches, the Home Reader Service and
Special Collections within the Provincial Resource Library.
Responsibilities include collection development and collection management;
automation; selection and supervision of staff and staff training;
planning; electronic services; related work.
QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a knowledge of public library systems, current
library trends, library materials and personnel issues. Must demonstrate
a good knowledge of library material selection practices and tools. Also
requires a knowledge of web resources and electronic access to
information. Must demonstrate strong supervisory and organizational
abilities; strong oral and written communication skills as well as strong
interpersonal skills and initiative. Must possess a valid driver’s
licence. Successful completion of a Masters in Library Science/Library
Information Science (MLS/MLIS) degree from an accredited university is
required.

PAY RANGE: LB 34 - $38,693.20 - $43,097.60
