Hi everyone,
I've always felt that educational institutions and libraries, be they
academic, public or private, have an important role to play in promoting
open source technology-based tools.
Re. below, is a snippet from a recent posting from CANARIE. I thought this
reference and conference announcement might be of interest to those who are
attempting to either understand or address the delivery of information
and/or educational resources using an open source infrastructure.
Have a nice weekend.
Cheers,
Leo

open source movement in education. The event is entitled the Open Source
Summit. ( http://www.opensourcesummit.org/ ) There is also an interesting
white paper available from the Summit web site: Open Source-Opens Learning:
Why open source makes sense for education.
