"The Art and Practice of Electronic Journal, Book, and Database
Licenses: Practical Tips for Health Care Organizations" - Satellite
Teleconference co-sponsored by the Nova Scotia Provincial Library and
the Maritimes Health Libraries Association.
This teleconference is being broadcast by the Medical Library
Association, Chicago, and the Provincial Library will act as a host
site. It is directed at medical/health librarians but it is a topic
which will also be of interest to librarians in other types of libraries
who are involved with licensing of electronic information resources.
The teleconference will provide practical tips to those who deal with
licensing agreements for electronic books, journals, and databases;
enhance the knowledge of information professionals about the pros and
cons of electronic licensing agreements; and provide useful negotiation
tips for health information professionals, legal counsel, purchasing
departments, and those dealing with consortium licensing agreements.
Presenters are:

This teleconference is being paid for in partnership by the Nova Scotia
Provincial Library and the Maritimes Health Libraries Association. It
is free to participants and all interested library staff are invited to
attend.
