Hi everyone,
There is an interesting review of David Marquand¹s new book, 'Decline of the
Public' in TLS this week, stating that the public domain is disappearing and
that no political magician can bring it back.
Although the reviewer (Robert Skidelsky) doesn't mention librarians per se,
(ie; are librarians members of the public domain or the public interest -
and do we know the difference?). There is lots of food for thought here as
citizens (versus consumers) try to create and participate in a democratic
culture.
To read this review see:

Have a nice weekend - and don't forget D-Day on Monday:)
