The Nova Scotia Digital Collections Initiative (NSDCI) will host its
second Open Meeting at the Council of Nova Scotia Archives Spring
Conference on Thursday, April 22nd. The meeting will take place from
10:30 AM -12:30 PM at Nova Scotia Archives and Records Management, 6061
University Avenue, Halifax.
The NSDCI was formed in May 2002 when the Nova Scotia Provincial
Library hosted a day-long meeting of representatives from a wide variety
of institutions and organizations with an interest in digital
collections, including archives, museums, public libraries,
universities, NSCC, and the Dalhousie School of Library and Information
Studies. Its primary purpose is to facilitate communication and provide
opportunities for information sharing, collaboration and cooperation
among the various communities of interest involved in digitization in
the province.
Join founding members and new participants in reviewing achievements to
date and planning the future direction of this unique collaboration.
