Due North: A Cross Border Dialogue
Thursday, June 19, 1:00 p.m.
Friday, June 20, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Plan now to attend a unique Canadian Library Association
pre-conference. Featuring noted Canadian librarians and leaders, Due
North will explore and celebrate the richness of the Canadian library
community's innovative services and leading edge programs. Keynote
speaker Michael Adams, President of the Environics Research Group and
author of Fire and Ice: The United States/Canada and the Myth of
Inevitability will challenge our thinking of the past, and of the
future.
Our Showcase! will provide delegates the opportunity to discuss and
view firsthand some of the "latest and greatest" library approaches and
advances in Canada. Historical Rendezvous-The Vignettes! features guests
from Canada's past joining delegates throughout the Due North program,
with characters such as Laura Secord, and famed 'Great Debate' Scots the
Wee and Great M'cDonalds. (www.cla.ca/duenorth)
