I am looking for persons who could be presenters in an APLA 2003 program
on children's reading programs, contests, sponsorships, and awards. I am
looking for volunteers and ideas of people to contact.

Speakers could be for or against. Are programs such as the NS family
literacy initiative, Read to Me!, worth the effort? Should libraries allow
sponsorships for reading programs by companies such as Coke and
MacDonald's? Are awards such as Hackmatack which have children select the
winners better than those such as the Mr. Christie's Book Awards where the
winner is selected by adults?
