Lecturer Post Wits Bioethics Division
The Bioethics Division at the Wits University Faculty of Health Sciences seeks
to appoint a Lecturer in Bioethics (tenured). The incumbent is expected to
contribute actively to the Division's undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
programs as well as to its research and community outreach programs.
Minimum Requirements:
. Broad knowledge of bioethics in the African context
. Experience in bioethics teaching in Health Sciences or Humanities tertiary
teaching environments
. Publications in peer reviewed journals
. Excellent command of the English language
. High level of computer literacy
Desirable:
. Track record of generating research funding
. Knowledge of WebCt
. Knowledge of South African health regulatory and legislatory frameworks
The position is available as of the beginning of the teaching semester 1 in
2003.
