With apologies for cross-posting:
CASLIS, the Canadian Association of Special Librarians and Information
Specialists, recognizes the need to address emerging issues and trends that
affect both the association and its members. With this in mind, CASLIS
created a Strategic Planning Task Force and has embarked on a strategic
planning process to help guide our association over the next three to five
years.
The Strategic Planning Task Force developed a survey to help us identify who
our members are, what trends you face, and how we can face the future
together. CASLIS members can expect to receive the survey in the mail over
the next few days. While our efforts are focussed on our members, we know
that our non-member colleagues in the librarian and information professional
community will also have valuable insights as we undertake this planning
process. We ask that you take a few minutes to complete the survey,
available at http://www.cla.ca/divisions/caslis/strategicplan.htm, following
the links to the survey. The deadline for completing the survey is August
26, 2002.
The Strategic Planning Task Force has posted some draft documentation on the
CLA website at
http://www.cla.ca/divisions/caslis/strategicplan.htm that you may wish to
view in conjunction with completing this survey. These documents were
created as part of our work towards creating the CASLIS strategic plan.
Your time is valuable - the time you invest in completing this survey will
help strengthen our association and our profession. Please, help build a
better CASLIS.

http://www.cla.ca/division/caslis/strategicplan.htm.

Information seems more and more to want to be free. The problem is setting
it free without letting it run around without its pants on.
