REFERENCE LIBRARIAN
Mount Allison University Libraries invites applications for a part-time,
term Reference Librarian position. The incumbent will provide direct
reference service in person, via telephone, and through e-mail. The
position includes some evening and weekend reference shifts. There will be
opportunities to work independently and with other librarians on projects
in collections, instruction, cataloguing or systems, depending on interests
and experience.
The successful candidate will possess an MLS from an ALA accredited library
school. Excellent communication skills and an ability to interact
effectively with undergraduate students and faculty are essential.
Reference experience in an academic setting would be an asset.
The Mount Allison Libraries include the Ralph Pickard Bell Library which is
the main library, the Alfred Whitehead Music Library and the University

This temporary, part-time position is for an eight month term, September to
April, at 17.5 hours per week. The appointment will be made at the rank of
General Librarian, $36,505-46,775, pro-rated. A letter of application,
